ChirocistIN is a dietary supplement that is recommended for combination use with PolicistIN, in order to promote the dietary treatment of PCOS and insulin resistance.

Inositol belongs to the B group of vitamins and is a component of the cell membrane. It is found in fruits, legumes, cereals and nuts, and it is also produced by the body itself.
Inositol is a component of inositolphosphoglycan (IPG), which are \"secondary transmitters\" in insulin signaling.

It is believed that women with PCOS have a disorder at the level of the \"secondary transporter\" (IPG), which contributes to insulin resistance.

Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrine disorder characterized by a chronic absence of ovulation, coupled with hyperandrogenism and insulin resistance.
The link between insulin resistance and PCOS eventually led to the conclusion that agents that increase insulin sensitivity could be the main therapeutic choice for PCOS treatment.

Two particularly prominent agents of this type are active forms of inositol: D-hiro-inositol and myo-inositol. Physiologically, inositol is a chemical mediator in our cellular membrane composition, from which inositol-triphosphate compound is still formed. This compound plays the role of a \"secondary transmitter\" and is responsible for transmitting information at the intracellular level to the information that certain hormones carry with it. Some of the hormones that realize this effect are insulin and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).

D-hiro-inositol, by increasing tissue sensitivity to insulin, can regulate blood glucose levels, thereby contributing to the prevention of metabolic syndrome, which in many cases develops as a continuation of insulin resistance.
Both active isomers can contribute to reducing levels of androgenic hormones. Additionally, myo-inositol (one of the active ingredients of the product PolicistIN) produces specific effects on the ovaries that modulate the effect of FSH, which is significant in regulation of the normal menstrual cycle and the formation of egg cells.

Mio-inositol and D-hiro-inositol
Both myo-inositol (MYO) and D-hiro-inositol (DCI) have been studied as potential supplements in infertility therapy in women with PCOS.
In keeping with recent reports1 and bearing in mind the importance of inositol for optimal metabolic control, transmission of hormone and ovarian function, the combination of MYO and DCI should coincide with the physiological relationship of MYO: DCI in plasma and follicular fluid.1
When the MYO conversion to DCI is not optimal, DCI therapy can be a solution.2
Combined treatment with MYO: DCI in patients with PCOS improved parameters such as diastolic blood pressure, glucose on the tooth, insulin tumor ... A similar, positive trend was also detected for the HOMA index, triglycerides and levels of HDL and LDL cholesterol. In most patients, ovulation was again achieved.3
